hi, I have a problem with building fine art gallery. I'm playing Japan in great campaign scenario, and the year is 1460.

I tried to build a gallery, and the work-in-progress icon appeared on the map. However, 2 years later, when the progress bar was full, there's absolutely no manufactory there.

I changed the game speed to 1 min = 2 years, and tried it again twice; once start building on a different date, and once building it in another province, but the result still nothing.

I have an infrasturcture level of 2. Enough to build gallery according to the dot on the right of budget sliders, but the manual book said that lv. 4 is required... which one is correct? and if I couldn't build the gallery, why the option is not grayed out?

Somebody please help... beautiful beaches are just meters away, but even for just several minutes I think about EU2 every day. Damn! I won't start a good game a week before I go on a vacation again.:D

can't remember wich one it is... I will have to check tonight.

I just hope that the problem is not within my EU program. I don't know much right now, but I think I can't compete if I couldn't built manufactories.

I appreciate any theory about this problem. One more thing.... during one of my retries, I got an event called "unexpected advancement" and I got a new fine art gallery right then. It proves that Nippon could have it; I just couldn't build one.

there was a bug that a manufactory you are building does not always appear, but two times in a row is a bit too much...

maybe it's a bug... is it a known one ( i mean some people got this problem too) or do you think the bug is specific to my computer?

just a correction... it happened 3 times in a row.... just unbelievable.

Is there a way to fix it?

I think there is a chance that you don't succeed in building a manufactory. Try see in the message options. The message which reports a failure in doing a manufactory should appear in the message log. Maybe you've been very unlucky! Or maybe is a bug.

hm.. i don't think there's a chance of failure, because if I failed to place a merchant or colonist, I got the message... but in this case, it just disappear as if nothing happened.

i think maybe i have to uninstall/reinstall...

btw, have any of you guys read RTK the book (it's a half-fiction, half-history of the civil war in China suring 3rd century AD)?
I am interested in military history and it's one of the best books.
well.. just a recommendation..
