So, I decided to design a overpowered character in the mod, and went through the traits. But, the ruler designer unlocked traits which add or subtract age to a character do not function. Is this a bug, or an intentional design decision?

I mean we don't make that submod so why ask here instead of in the download thread you got the submod from...?
It's outdated. I think the Valyrian Sword and Armour is causing the problem since I saw two of the same traits last time I had it enabled. Just got to wait for the mod creator of RDU to update it.
I've just edited the game myself to make all the attributes available/cost nothing, pretty simple to do - 5 min job.
