Let's try -2 for Shiites.

Can we try to lower morale bonus to +40 instead of +50 for Shiites?

Btw, since it is also in religion.csv, couldn't we add 50 fo diplomats (i.e. a "half" diplomat more for Shiites and Sunnis per year)?

I'd prefer not to change so many variable all at once.

One that last bit then, what's the reason for that suggestion? Do they currently have too few?
It is related to OE and the idea discussed elsewhere (in OE thread(s) certainly but not sure exactly where) and possibility to give them more diplomats because of warfare (especially DoWs and peace proposals). I wasn't aware it could be done simply in religion.csv. Of course, all Muslim states will benefit from this in this case...

I'm not sure it is the best way to handle the OE problem. I remember I proposed to add diplomats in events for each new OE monarch and added cores. Maybe it could be sufficient but we can only add max 6 diplomats (the same amount as proposed change for religion.csv for 12 years).

I noticed that Safavids get Iraq as an historical event but they get no cores on Iraqi provinces. I also noticed an event that mentions a Safavid ruler who conquered Bahrain and an event that removes Bahrain as a core, but no event that makes it a core. Is this intentional?

In this case, they shouldn't have a removecore on Iraq neither. Or is it because of PER entry in revolt.txt, Kara Koyunlu or a leftover of Ak Koyunlu?

I will check.

They don't have one. They do have a removecore on Bahrein though, despite not having a core to begin with.

Ok

Code:
#(1738-1745) Persia Called in
event = {
	id = 254011
	trigger = { exists = OMA }
	random = no
	country = PER
	name = "EVENTNAME254011" #Yarubis Requests Intervention
	desc = "EVENTHIST254011"
	#-#

	date = { day = 1 month = january year = 1738 }
	offset = 360
	deathdate = { day = 1 month = january year = 1745 }

	action_a = {
		name = "ACTIONNAME254011A" #Let us Intervene
		command = { type = wakeleader which = 0104823 } #Mirza Muhammad Khan (PER)
		command = { type = casusbelli which = OMA value = 60 }
		command = { type = relation which = OMA value = -200 }
	}
	action_b = {
		name = "ACTIONNAME254011B" #We Have Better Things to do
		command = { type = relation which = OMA value = 100 }
		[COLOR=Red]command = { type = removecore which = 509 } #Bahrein[/COLOR]
	}
}
#-#With his grip on his country slipping away, Sayf II, last of the Yarubi Imams of Oman, seeks aid from the Persians. Persia seizes the opportunity to attempt the conquest of Oman.

This event doesn't make sense. Why does Oman hate Persia for an intervention that their Imam calls for / Why does Oman like Persia when Persia doesn't do anything? Was the Imam not actually in control of the government at the time?

If Persia doesn't try to conquer Oman, can we assume they will try to have better relations since Persia doesn't really help the Imam in action_b?

Strange since Oman should be under Ottoman rule until 1741... and that's why I understand Persia is called for aid by the Imam.

Anyway, according to monarchs.oma:
Code:
historicalmonarch = {
	id = { type = 6 id = 0101021 }
	startdate = {
		day = 11
		month = april
		year = 1728
	}
	deathdate = {
		day = 1
		month = february
		year = 1742
	}
	name = "Sayf II"
	DIP = 3
	MIL = 5
	ADM = 3
	dormant = no
}
historicalmonarch = {
	id = { type = 6 id = 0101022 }
	startdate = {
		day = 1
		month = february
		year = 1742
	}
	deathdate = {
		day = 1
		month = july
		year = 1743
	}
	name = "Sultan III"
	DIP = 4
	MIL = 5
	ADM = 3
	dormant = no
}
historicalmonarch = {
	id = { type = 6 id = 0101023 }
	startdate = {
		day = 1
		month = july
		year = 1743
	}
	deathdate = {
		year = 1744
	}
	name = "Abi'l-Arab II"
	DIP = 4
	MIL = 6
	ADM = 6
	dormant = no
}
historicalmonarch = {
	id = { type = 6 id = 0101024 }
	startdate = {
		year = 1744
	}
	deathdate = {
		day = 15
		month = december
		year = 1783
	}
	name = "Sayyid Ahmad"
	DIP = 6
	MIL = 5
	ADM = 6
	dormant = no
}
Imam and Sultan III are co-rulers after february 1742 and until Abi'l-Arab II (if I understand correctly here).

Should above event fire after 1744?

Rather than removing a removecore for Bahrein, I suggest this change:

Code:
#(1599-1629) The Advisors of Abbas the Great
event = {
	id = 3565
	random = no
	country = PER
	name = "EVENTNAME3565" #The Advisors of Abbas the Great
	desc = "EVENTHIST3565"

	date = { day = 1 month = december year = 1599 }
	offset = 720
	deathdate = { year = 1629 }

	action_a = {
		name = "ACTIONNAME3565A" #Hire the English advisors
		command = { type = revoltrisk which = 48 value = 4 }
		command = { type = stability value = -1 }
		command = { type = land value = 1000 }
		command = { type = domestic which = land value = 2 }
		command = { type = domestic which = offensive value = 2 }
		[COLOR=Yellow]command = { type = addcore which = 509 } #Bahrein[/COLOR]
	}
	action_b = {
		name = "ACTIONNAME3565B" #Rely on domestic advisors
		command = { type = stability value = 2 }
		command = { type = domestic which = land value = 1 }
		command = { type = domestic which = offensive value = 1 }
	}
}

#-#Shah Abbas greatly admired the military skills of the Western Europeans and gladly accepted Christian missionaries to his realm, even pretending to be on the verge of converting himself. The Shah finally secured the help of two Englishmen--Anthony and Robert Sherley--to reform the Persian army and navy. The results were not long in coming. Abbas took Bahrein from the Portuguese and sacked their base at Hormouz. The European advisors, however, were not popular in all quarters...

I'm not familiar with the history of this area, but according to the event text Abbas did conquer Bahrein, and the action b in event 254011 is a good reason to loose the core.

Bahrein under the Safavids

IIRC Bahrein was really semi-independent during this period and tended to revolt when the nominal governor attempted to assert any real authority. So I'd oppose any core as that would mean that it is far more submissive to Persian control that it was historically.
If we wanted to waste a tag I'd show Bahrein as independent, but becoming vassals to Portugal and Persia at different times.
