I feel like they recently added more stuff to the patch so that's why a little bump was hit. Most of the main features were already tested and working before now but they probably added some other fix or something that broke slightly. It's normal. I think everyone is just excited to play it, otherwise where wouldn't be this much complaining... I also really was waiting for today but just hoping it's tomorrow then.
I agree. I seem to recall something in the original announcement or the first DD that they were trying to push it as close to the break in order to incorporate additional functionality asked for by fans. Tile fees, for example.

Alright, they ran into issues trying to get it out today, fair enough - But why not just talk to us man
This constant song and dance of "This is the plan, oh no we failed to deliver, ah well we're not gonna say anything about it until criticism becomes too loud at which point the publisher will put out a statement on our behalf that we will contradict in the future anyhow" is just unbelievably tiring.
You have this forum, you have a Twitter account, just bloody put out a 3 sentence statement saying "We ran into issue X and will have to postpone the patch, we are looking for Y/Y as the next targeted release date/we can't update the release window at this point". It would take a community manager all of 10 minutes to do. It is not that hard, folks.
This is what baffles me! We want to support this game, but they are making it so hard.

I feel that every incident like this builds up to the ultimate cancelation of the whole game, which would be a shame because the potential is still there.

I know that they asked for it. I agree with it. My whole point is - Why not just give players choices? This isn't about that feature specifically, it's more of a general point.
Especially given that "there is a tile upkeep cost" is something that seems like it could be easily toggled without disabling money entirely. Just throw a 'this will make the game unbalanced and easier'-warning on it. Best of both worlds. Literally can't lose.

Same, the community though seems quite harsh about it. Not asking to stop the difficulty but why not give people an option and keep both happy?

An easy and a difficult mode, with toggles would be nice. Why do we always have to completely abandon economy gameplay and go for unlimited money mode?

I hope CO can clarify a bit more about their opinion on this.

My god these type of comments... As has been already repeated over and over again, you can always play with unlimited money.
But why can't one have a toggle? I'm not asking to remove features, why not let people have their own experience? I don't wanna completely abandon the economy gameplay perspective, neither am I wanting to stop anyone from experiencing the difficulty and challenge they want...

A toggle harms no one.

Hi, maybe this is a nice update for new players or new cities but the player which kept playing since the first release the savegame handling feels bad. I doubt there is a technical reason why you didn't add a "sell tile" feature in the game, your comment reads more like... we'll see, if it sucks enough we have to fix it - till then just mess up your grown cities. Lets see if the other fixes are more hardened and tested.

Edit1:
I have now tried to rebuild my old city so that it should also bear the 21 million tile costs - doesn't really work. And increasing the taxes isn't very helpful either - has led to a massive reduction in revenue.
New games and the new difficulty level are okay, but I'm giving up my old game for now and waiting to see if something else comes along so that I can return the tiles I don't need, I don't even want money for them - I just want to get rid of them.

I do not know what you mean. They said they were going to publish a survey and it isn’t there.
A census is everybody in a population being asked something. In a survey a sample of the population gets asked.
