Hello, I Just recently started playing Prison Architect and my save file has become unplayable.
No mods, No DLC, No Expansions... Just the Vanilla game.

I'm kind of upset as this is my first prison but I put some decent work into it and now I cannot play.
All I did was change their schedules while the game was paused then I unpaused and BAM.. Game freezes every load now.
(Added Regime, Kitchen Program, and was setting up a bunch of new schedules as well as food variety)

I probably won't play the game anymore unless I can figure out why my game is crashing after being unpaused for approximately 2-3 seconds before crashing.

I'm attaching the original save file which works, for 2-3 seconds, then crashes.

Pretty bummed out. =(

I don't know why this is happening to you either, I'm afraid - it's not a known or reported issue otherwise. Crashes, yes, but not hangs like that!

That save hangs for me too.

Please attach here the game log C:\Users\<UserName>\AppData\Local\Introversion\Prison Architect\debug.txt
To see the AppData folder you'll need to enable View Hidden Items in File Explorer.

AND DXDIAG is a program you run from a command prompt or the Windows start menu 'run' dialog box (or 'search programs' in Windows 7 or later). After running it will open a window and start collecting info with a progress bar in the lower-left corner. When it completes click the 'save all information' button and save it to a file then attach that file here.

Thanks for the reply!
I've attached my DxDiag file (pcspecs.txt) as well as the debug file (debug.txt) from the Prison Architect folder.

Tried a few things with the save file...
---Regime to default
---All programs Stop
---All Patrols Stop
---All Stationed Stop
---All "Red Alert" options

The game still freezes/hangs/crashes after un-pausing for 2-3 seconds.

I just get sort of demoralized to start a new prison because if this happens on my first Prison, what if it happens again? Hoping this save can get fixed or at the very least, we can figure out what is going on so I can avoid it in the future.

I see nothing to explain this in those files. Does it also happen for you in Safe Mode, as a matter of interest?

Unlikely to be anything to do with this issue but you may as well update that nVidia driver:

Not even sure what safe mode is.. Looked for a good 20 minutes and didnt find anything related to launching a Safe Mode Prison Architect.
I'm likely just going to request a refund at this point. I dont want this to happen again in the future.

When you hit PLAY in Steam the very first thing that pops up is a choice between normal, Safe and legacy 32bit mode.

That save is clearly broken, yes. No real idea why. I can log a bug on that but that won't help you in the short term, and I'm not going to do that if you are refunding the game. Did you go ahead with that?

... So you wouldn't Log the bug if I get a refund? Seems counter-productive to me. If I get a refund, you should still log the bug for other players. I'm quite astonished that you actually said that.

Reactions:
Second Prison now... Crashing randomly on load.. This is stupid now. I'm done trying to play this damn game. I should have listened to the reviews that the game went to CRAP when Paradox took over. Shame I didn't get to play before Paradox.

Requesting Refund.
