Save game troubles

Well...

I have the same problem with windows shutting down after ending a game...
Do i really have to uninstall all of my aplications?... I'snt it good enough that I just close e'm down while playing?

Well enough about windows...
I cant read my saved games... And this is a biggy... This is where i realy get my problems. When i want to load a saved game. It frezzes when it has read about 15% of the file... And it hurts because it is every game I save that does this. Please help me and please do it quick. Because there is no pain greater than builting up good steam for a game when I cant get the release I need. In fact it feels like I bought a demo. Hrmfp

Okay who said anything about uninstalling aplications.

My standard advice looks like this:
1) Rename the AVI folder to AVI_back
2) Set the color depth to 16BIT
3) Turn off everything in the background like E-mail/ICQ/Messenger, Virus protection and everything in the system tray beside the clock.
4) Update your Windows, update your Video card drivers and audio card drivers. Then repeat steps 1-3.

Doing the above may solve all your problems although starting a new game would be necessary if the cyurrent game has become corupted.
