Always best to start with a fresh install, If you have modded files they may not be overwritten.

The rule is and always has been that saves may not be compatible. You could always reinstall 1.03 and finish your game. :)

I have been playing computer games since Pong. I've never had one that would not read a save after installing a patch. Sorry, its no excuse. Just a disclaimer for poor workmanship. They should have included a converter at the very least.

What is the difference between the version's save files? I'll write my own converter.

You still playing a game started under 1.03? :)

You and I must have played different games, As I played pong as well. ;) and have been aware that there is always a chance that I will not be able to continue an old game if I install a new patch. Plus the readme file was available online and in both this forum and the Gen. Discussion forum before the patch was even released.

The difference is in added features, if you are suggesting we do not add any new features in patches I think others would strongly disagree. I do not know which one is causing you problems could be speed caps could be any number of changes.

Spending time on a "coverter" is sort of a waste when the time could be spent on crushing more bugs. It is not like this is an ongoing problem. If you want to continue your game uninstal then reinstall 1.03, there is your converter. :)
