Summary

Saving and Reloading Reduces Income

Description

I have noticed that saving and reloading my game prior to receiving my monthly income (currently +55) reduces that income substantially. Sometimes I even lose money despite the UI saying I have a positive income. I currently have an empire, with no Men-at-Arms reinforcing or raised, no mercenaries hired, no wards, and am not at war.

For example: letting the game run on its own, my gold went from 132 to 156 at the beginning of the next month (slightly lower than what it should be, but I suspect this is because I saved and reloaded early the previous month). When I reloaded a save made ten days prior to "payday", my gold instead went from 132 to 128.

Steps to reproduce

Load most recent game, save a few days prior to "payday", and wait for monthly income to accrue. Load the aforementioned save, wait for payday again. The accrued income will be less than what it was before.

Just an update to say that after extensive testing, saving and reloading is indeed the culprit in reducing my "real" income (as opposed to the number listed in the UI).

Letting the game run from 1 May to 30 July, I gained a total of 150 gold, bringing my net worth to 1250.

Reloading a save at 1 June, I gained a total of only 150 gold by 30 July, bringing my net worth to 1200.

Essentially, reloading a save game means forfeiting a month's income.
