Saving problems

Hi to everyone
It is the first time I post a msg here. I've bought EU when it came out but I've started playing a few days ago. I own the original boardgame and I think this is one of the better games ever made. But I have one problem. A part some crash here and there, the game always crashes when I try to save a scenario (till now I've tried to save several times The Great Northern War as Russian and The War of Spanish Succession as Austrian). I've read the new patch is going to be completed but can anyone help me with this problem? It is frustrating to play for 3-4 hours and then not succeeding in saving the game.

By the way I have a PIII 500Mhz with a 128 Mb RAM and a 3dfx Voodoo Video Card.

Hi pduliss, welcome.

What EU version do you have, 1.07 or 1.09? 1.07 was infamous for being very crash prone, 1.09 is much more stable.

Thank you for the reply but I had just installed the UK patch! The result is the same...

You should try to re-install and try the Benelux patch. it worked for some

The save game problems *are* sorted in the next patch.
In the meantime might I suggest that you turn "auto save" on as a yearly thing. You can then play until the end of a year and, after it has saved, then quit and go to bed/work/pub/holiday/etc
