I was wondering if we could get Savoy in his own alliance, preferably with Languedoc, at the start of the Abe GC? I think this could prevent Savoy from getting diploannexed by Burgundy or swarmed by french minors too often.

I've noticed that Burgundy tends to pull Savoy into wars with large numbers of french minors, who proceed to pound the snot out of them. Mostly I just think that Savoy should be positioned to protect Languedoc, as he is somewhat likely to inherit them.
If you really want to be mean to Granada, you could ally Savoy, Languedoc and Navarre. The right combination of events at the start could really put the hurt on the Sultanate under those circuimstances.
