Scenario editor issues (could be linked to 1.08 beta)

Hello. I installed a vanilla EU2 1.08. It had the scenario editor, which I thought was cool and tried a little. Worked alright. Then I added the latest 1.08 beta patch. Next time I tried the scenario editor, almost every time I tried to give a country an Italian province the editor crashed. (I say Italian because I managed a few other provinces.) Is there a fix for this? Does it involve ditching the beta patch? If so, how do you do that? (I could always uninstall, but besides that I mean.)

This is a Bug Report, not a Tech Support issue, so I'll move you accordingly.

This is a known problem with the Scenario editor, but even before the betas it had other unsolvable problems anyway. I recommend you go over to the modifications forum and check out how they do things now.

In other words, the Scenario Editor is unreliable and shouldn't be used.


Too bad, in a way, since the game is so easy to mod, being a text-driven program. You'd hope that EU3 comes with a properly working Scenario Editor.
