I was wondering how do you change the graphics in the scenario menu. When you click on the CoA of the country you get the litle info on the left side and in the right you get a little "preview picture". In any case I don't think Hungary, Poland, Croatia and Bosnia should look orthodox. These nations always belonged to the west...at least for the greater part of their history.

Btw. I am experencing small problem with custom flags. They appear grainy in the game. Most of them have purple backround does this has any effect? I tried rasing the colour depth but that doesn't help either? What should I do?

Make sure you use the correct palette.

What do you mean? Which one should I use then if it's not compatible with the original?

Open the orginal graphics, and save that palette. Then load your graphics, and additionally load the original palette into your graphics.

Eh?
What are you talking about? In english please. :D

No really I don't get it. Are you talking about the flag palette file in palette directory or is this about something else? All I did was that I changed flag files for Ragusa, Byzantium and few other countries and these files do not appear right in the game. The orginal palette files are all original like flag_palette files were all original.

I would post an example but my host is down... :(
I am really starting to get annoyed by this...

Load up an original flag. Then save the palette from that exact flag. All imags have the palette they use "inside" them.

Then open the modified image you have, and load the palette you just saved into this image - replacing the palette it already has.

Now I'm sorry if you don't understand it, I'm not very good at explaining stuff... and I'm afraid I can't explain it any differently...

Well i tried and it doesn't help. Furthermore it totally overwrites my flag. Not to mention I don't know if I am doing the right thing at all or even if I am know how to do what you are saying.

Anyway the flags I have problem with are mostly from this site http://hem.bredband.net/b103277/graphics/jwm2.html

Man I hate when people make alternative flags and then it turns out they are not useable....and whats more I haven't backed up my original files and now I can screw myself.

The reason why the flags on that site aren't usable with EUII (anymore) is that Paradox changed the palette for one of the latest patches. It's not the fault of the creator of these flags.
