I've just installed HoI/Armageddon on my new laptop, and while everything runs fine, I notice that the game screen is stretched horizontally - i.e. counters are slightly rectangular instead of square. I think I had the same problem with my last laptop (also a 15.4" widescreen), but I can't remember how I fixed it. I've tried changing the computers display resolution t oseveral different settings, but none of them seem to make any difference.
Any thoughts or suggestions?

Go to Lord Ederon's website -- download the resolution hack.

Thanks for the advice. I've tried it out, but still have the same problem. I'm thinking there's some simple solution somewhere, because I dealt with this a few years ago with the old laptop, and I don't remember using the pegasus hack then.

OK, I've been trying to figure this one out all weekend. The game is loading the standard 1024 x 768 (4:3) screen size, but is stretching it to fit a 16:10 (1024 x 640) screen. On my old laptop (now sadly defunct, so I can't check to see what I did there), when I played the game it kept the correct proportion, meaning I had small black areas on both sides of the screen. This held true even after several uninstalls/re-installs of the game, which leads me to believe the solution is in a Windows setting somewhere, not a game setting. I've looked through everything in the Display control panel, but haven't found anything yet that fixes the problem (admittedly this has been a bit more challenging since the new computer's XP is in Swedish, and I'm still learning the language, but I think I've understood everything so far . . .)

Again, to clarify, I'm not trying to increase or change the resolution of the screen, I just want it to maintain the correct proportion. Surely someone's come across this issue before? Thanks in advance for your help.
