The error message is about a bug which does not lead to a crash. You probably got one of the known macOS/Linux crashes from recent eu4 versions. Have a look at the exception.txt to find the first few function names in the demangled stack trace and try to search for them in the bugreports forum to find other reports about the crashes and some workarounds

That's a shame, I got used to river crossing visualization feature already.
You should be able to return to 1.37.5 after you got past the situation of the crash. In any case I would recommend creating additional copies of your save and its _backup file and store them in a different folder so that you have something to which you can go back in case of problems
