Hi everyone,

I'm really hexcited with the release of Cities Skylines. Il like a lot the management games and i really like the "pastel-like" design of the game.
But i have a few difficulties with the sandbox game, or game without campaign. I like to play a game which puts me the test with goals and terms. When i start a game and say to myself "So, let's go to reach X people", i achieve this once and then i play less.

The devs say that they expect much creations from the community, with a great capacity to modify the game.
So, i thought : "Well, i will create a mod which add victory and defeat conditions and other stuff like this".
But, when i sought some information on the mod capacity, i found only graphical kind of mode : "map editor, building editor, 3d asset importer and beautification tool".

Is there other kind of mod?

I ask this because with the question "why we can't unlock all the tiles of the map?", the devs reply "for performance reasons, but mod will be able to break the limit".
But this kind of mod is not a graphical mod, but more like a "gameplay mod".
That's why i ask my question here.

Can we create mods which modify the gameplay of the game? With scripts for instance? (Such as OpenTDD?)

I have some ideas to create differents ways to play the game, like map with victory conditions in limited time or campaign such as Theme Hospital.
But it's only possible if the game permits it !

Thank you for reading !

Man that would be nice. :p

Like mine 1,000 tons of Coal in 10 years or something like that. But since there isnt a "defeat screen" on the game idk if that is possible. :/ But i hope so!

Exactly !
We can imagine a map of the week/month, with a ladder for instance !

An other exemple : will we have the capacity to modify the level of the river water, to simulate a flood ?

I think it only depends on the capacity of the game to be modified, and it is not totally clear.
