Loving the game so went for the season pass on Xbox, but it does not seem to provide any of the current updates, like the deluxe upgrade or the stellaris domes. How do I get the season pass to provide me the updates it promises?

if you look around this forum most of the answers are plain to see.
as soon as you load the forum it tells that the first DLC is coming, release date to be announced
the top two pinned posts tell you that the Da Vinci and Sagan updates are available for download. your console should download them the first or next time you launch the game.
when you were in the store buying the season pass you might not have noticed that the Stellaris Dome set, essentially skins, is avaiable for purchase.
when you bought the season pass, it says that the content can be downloaded when it becomes available , none is available yet but it sounds like it will be in the near future.
Thanks for the explanation - I do have the updates Da Vinci and Sagan you mentioned - they added some nice refinements and features.
I am fairly confident the season pass description mentioned including content packs and expansions.
So then the content from the Deluxe Upgrade, and the Stellaris pack are not part of the Season Pass? That is not very intuitive or clear. I presumed it meant "everything released within whatever we call a season" which I presumed was launch until a specific time they chose to close the season (and maybe they would never close it.)
I was looking forward to some new skins and a radio station to keep it fresh while waiting for the DLC.

when you buy the game you can buy the regular version or the deluxe version both still need to buy the seasons pass etc...
i dont know if you can buy the deluxe version ugrade alone but it is not part of the season pass. its probably in the store if you look.

The season pass refers to two DLCs and two content packs - specifically: "The Season Pass, will add two full expansions and two content packs to Surviving Mars in the months following launch."
I guess what I considered existing content packs (Deluxe upgrade and Stellaris) are not the two content packs in question. I have to pay more to get those in addition to the season pass, but they don't matter that much to me - I just presumed they were the content packs in question and that there was an issue in my downloading them.
And yes there is a deluxe upgrade for $9.99.

Really seems like this is just not true if the current behavior is working as they intend and the Stellaris pack is not included. Otherwise they should fix it in the store and include it.
So maybe I could see the Deluxe upgrade count as not an addition, since it is an "edition," of the original game, but the Stellaris pack clearly is additional content. I don't even care much about those domes - it's just the principle of misrepresenting the truth and unfulfilled promises.
So far tech support has not said I am not entitled to those downloads, but instead put it on Microsoft or user error, but has not given me a way to download.

So none of the items covered by the season pass have yet been released. The minor items you refer to, the Deluxe upgrade and Stellaris pack, are not included I'm afraid. The Stellaris skin pack is part of the pre-order bonus so not separately available at all.

Well the good news I guess is that they consider the $9.99 Deluxe upgrade a minor item - that means the content packs on their way will be more substantial - which is great to hear .
However, the Stellaris pack and Deluxe upgrade ARE available separately - I can buy them each for $3.99 and $9.99 respectively. So I guess then the Season Pass does not cover everything like it says it does.
I suggested they update it's description to reflect that. When they say "Save with the Season Pass and never miss a single addition -- each one is yours to download as soon as it arrives." it sets the expectation that well, everything released is included. It is hardly a stretch to believe that.
They have already have excluded two things, and are not including everything in Space Race Plus. That means, once everything in Space Race Plus is released there will be FOUR things you can add on that are not in the season pass and only one that is. (Deluxe upgrade, Stellaris, and the two things part of Space Race Plus that are not in Space Race.)
This is unlike any other season pass I have ever seen.
I'll certainly write a review to that effect to help others be aware.
