Now why would you go and say that? I'm just going to sit in a corner and eat my crayons.

Pfft, the only weapon that matters to the US Navy is a fully trained US Marine.
If you link me a video, at least give me a rundown, so I dont waste my time.
That you need to go back to posting interesting historical trivia about Finland
Both are obvious hoaxes. There's nothing else to say. For example the Eldridge has been conclusively shown to have been on shakedown in the Bahamas when the alleged incident took place, thousands of miles away from Philadelphia.View attachment 720806

Usually, while talking about "miracle weapons" - the edge breaking technology in the WWII - which might give an advantage over the enemy, weapons so powerful, which might even change the course of the war - of course, these super weapons are highly affiliated to Nazi-Germany and its numerous Wunderwaffe projects. Probably the most utopian Nazi-project was the purported, top-secret device - die Glocke. Its operational capabilities and performance is alleged to have been possible as the device used anti-gravity and free energy. However, it's also sometimes claimed, during the WWII, the US Navy had a similar project based on this same science and theory.
Philadelphia Experiment is an alleged military experiment supposed to have been carried out by the US Navy in Philadelphia Naval Shipyard in late 1943. The claim has, the US Navy experiment was implemented as the Americans researched and studied a technology to make ships invisible or cloaked to radar and to other enemy devices. Destroyer escort, USS Eldrige was used in this alleged experiment.
The experiment is said to be based on theories created by Nikola Tesla, but maybe rather on unified field theory, by Albert Einstein in which electromagnetism and gravity unite their respective fields into a single shield. (I will not go deeper into this theory), but the US Navy regarded the concept and considered there might be potential for military use and allegedly sponsored the Philadelphia Experiment. A simply description, how this stealth technology was assumed to work - electrical generators bend light around an object via refraction which makes the object invisible.
According to most accounts supporting this supposed experiment, USS Eldridge was equipped with the required technology in Philadelphia Naval Shipyard and the testing began in summer 1943. According to eye-witnesses, it's rumored that this testing resulted limited success - in one test greenish fog appeared in USS Eldridge's position, making the ship nearly invisible, or making it to disappear. It's also rumored, while the ship reappeared, the crew suffered of nausea and they ended up different places from where they had began the test.
However, the most ferocious event is alleged to take place on October 28th, 1943. This time Eldridge not just became invisible or just disappeared, but it teleported over 200 miles to Norfolk, Virginia. It's claimed, Eldridge teleported near to SS Andrew Furuseth and there it sat in the view of Furuseth's crew. Soon Eldridge again vanished now reappearing in Philadelphia at its original position. It is said, Eldridge's crew went totally "bananas", some materialized inside-out, some just disappeared.
And, of course, it's said, the crew was brainwashed afterwards to maintain secrecy of the experiment. And, of course, the US Navy maintains, such a nonsense never happened, as only a madman considers it's possible while understanding the laws of physics.
But what do you think?

So?
Is he some sort of authority we should bow to?
Skimming though the video, and reading his descriptions, he does not even bother with sources.

The main difference between Germany and the US after ww2 is that the Americans won, had an enormous quantity of resources avalaible and maybe some of the most brilliant cientists of their generation. They not had any reason to stop making these experiments if real.View attachment 720806

Mark Felton is a pop history guy that makes boring videos, even the crazy Lindybeige is more interesting

Also the Wikipedia article on the Philadelphia Experiment debunks it.

I would just like to know, who is the crazy Lindybeige?
And who said, the Americans stopped making these experiments after the WWII?
And, surprising for a history-channel youtuber, also has videos on dancing.
Very entertaining, also very smart

That looks like it could be a bit of fun.Take his HEMA videos with a few mountains of salt, though.
