imo this is probably something they heard paradox is aiming for
FWIW, from what I've seen, blobbing is only a problem for certain countries, namely the Ottomans (due to their buffs) and HRE principalities (declaring wars when they shouldn't be able to). Multiple streamers have said blobbing is hard, and WCs will be much more difficult.
What?
People have WC'd EU4 by 1470.
None of the streamers even came close to that in the 100ish years they were allowed to show.
yeah but remember that the map is so much larger than conquests that seem big are on a small scale. ludi took a long time to consolidate just Anatolia and the BalkansAnnexing co-beligirents has no consequences, non Casus Belli wars have no real minuses. Just look how Ludi annexed the Ottomans and their allies in a single war with Byzantium or Florence taking out fellow HRE neighbours left and right. Even the AI quickly consolidates in the HRE, something you don't see in EUIV. It needs to be fixed.
WC should be completely impossible.
A streamer mentioned today that the devs were faced with a choice: either remove the divisive 3D portrait next to the flag or add more flavor to the game—apparently due to time constraints, they couldn’t do both. Honestly, that feels like a false dilemma. Both of these aspects are important to many players, and it's disappointing to hear that one may be sacrificed for the other.
Thank God. Thanks for dispelling the lies Johan.Complete bullshit lies.
It's true. It's just like how you can't core in EU4 because a missionary is already in that province and you can't have two people do two different things at the same time!Complete bullshit lies.
He just got main character syndrome. The dev team gave him nothing more, but instead of admitting he doesn't know much, he pushes dozens of hours of content saying things he has no idea about. I stopped watching his content years ago when he switched from funny tutorials to click bait and clout chase.I have to admit I'm rather curious why the devs seem to have decided on Ludi of all people as their main community megaphone. No disrespect to the guy, but he has a bit of a... history... of shall we say "embellishing the truth". His video titles are peak clickbait most of the time, and his overuse of words like "OVERPOWERED" in-video is just as cringeworthy.
No hate toward Ludi, i often enjoyed some of his content. He just got main character syndrome. He cited "flag and portrait" as am example of some UI-thing he does not care about. (Clear from other context around that timestamp). Here is the link to the video at the time of the comment Ludi @ 1:45:39
I do hope Paradox or Ludi lets us know if it was a misunderstanding.
I fear for the code and design if it would delay the game a month to remove the portrait from the HUD.
One streamer (I forget who) said he believes WC is impossible for anyone other than the Ottomans. In that case, the Ottomans need to be debuffed.WC should be completely impossible.
i have a high sense of deja vue for the 3rd time with this (panic accompagned by a rumor made by a youtuber that end up being false)It was Ludi and he said the devs claimed removing the obnoxious face next the flag would take a MONTH? And they said they would rather not delay the game for that and focus on other things, I'm like, those 2 things aren't in the same department of game development .
that was ludi again , honestly he talk a lot off his mind instead of sticking to facts he have on table , lot of assumptions coming from him he might end up getting black listed by the devs like Arumba if he keep up like this. One streamer (I forget who) said he believes WC is impossible for anyone other than the Ottomans. In that case, the Ottomans need to be debuffed.
CK3 launched in an acceptable state.Nobody can say that CK3 and V3 launched in an acceptable state.
Blobing only happened with peoples who played as serbia , byzantium and ottomans . the others who did blob did it trough unions who should be tweaked because you can easily integrate them.Yeah blobbing is a problem, they need to implement some sort of overextension mechanic and increase the antagonism effect. The other problem is that blobbing is meaningless because you cannot convert culture, increase control and core those provinces fast enough.
People playing in the HRE definitely blobbed too, as did HRE AI. Most of that is the HRE is being held to a higher standard on what constitutes blobbing though, since I and many others are of the view that military expansion within the HRE should be exceptionally difficult and harshly punished.Blobing only happened with peoples who played as serbia , byzantium and ottomans . the others who did blob did it trough unions who should be tweaked because you can easily integrate them.
in general the devs are aware of that and likely did fix the blobbing issue already.
mark my word you dont know what you are talking aboutMark my words the game will be out before xmas and wont look much different than what we saw, just like V3.
