If you hover over the large serving tables you should see the food under them. This is a graphical issue only. Same for trays.

As for prisoners not eating that food, they should be. Could I get some pictures and/or a save file?

It has been fixed, if you're still having this issue I'm going to guess mods are the culprit.

I have never used a mod in Prison Architect and the problem persists. Only on large tables.

If you look at the small serving table on the side, this problem does not exist. And on the large table, there are also kitchen items, but they are invisible due to the visual bug.

This is odd. As this was a bug, but was fixed and I haven't seen it since. What version of the game do you have? And when was this save originally started?

Also, could I get a copy of the save file? You'll need to zip the .prison file.

I have had this save since today, I created this save to show the problem. I use the steam version. I don’t know if there is any relation but I use the RX 570 4GB video card and an i3 10100f processor and run the game at a resolution of 1920 x 1080.

I also purchased all the DLCs and use all of them.

I don't think those would change anything. And I just made and tested a prison myself and don't have this issue. Could I get your save file? Location is listed at the bottom of 'load games' and then you'll need to zip the .prison file.

I am watching on YouTube some series of Prison Architect that YouTubers are doing at this moment and for them this problem does not happen. But it happens to me. I don’t know why… I think these are the files you asked for… if you want I can even record myself opening the game on Steam, creating a prison and showing that for me this problem occurs.

I just recorded a video and uploaded it to YouTube, I created a new save, from me opening the game to the part where they put the food on the table. So you can see that this happens to me.

here is the link

if you don’t want to see me building the prison from the beginning, skip the video to the end. There it shows them putting the food on the table.

You don’t know any solution for these problems, right? Because I have another problem… now the interface simply disappears when I spend some time playing…

I don’t know what to do… if you say it’s fixed, I say it’s impossible because I’m going through this problem :/

I just wanted to play Prison Architect peacefully. But it seems like I paid for something that is defective for me. And looking at the forum, I think the game will no longer have support. Very sad. I feel completely wronged… because I bought the full game and I can’t play.

For a new problem please make new thread in future, thanks.

This new issue is not one I can recall seeing other reports of. Problems that only happen after playing for a period are usually overheating, but I've not seen that happen in this game before.

Does it ONLY happen after playing for a while?

If you then exit the game then reload it, does that fix it for a while? Or do you have to reboot,or wait awhile, before it runs properly again?

Please attach here the game log C:\Users\{UserName}\AppData\Local\Introversion\Prison Architect\debug.txt

To see the AppData folder you'll need to enable View Hidden Items in File Explorer.

AND DXDIAG is a program you run from the Windows search box on the task bar. After running it will open a window and start collecting info with a progress bar in the lower-left corner. When it completes click the 'save all information' button and save it to a file then attach that file here.

I don’t know exactly if the problem happens because I spend some time playing, but I know that after a while playing the screen sometimes starts to blink and the interface disappears. Or sometimes it doesn’t blink and just disappears. When the screen disappears I can hear the menu that is invisible.

I forgot to mention, but there was a black pixel in the upper left corner of the map one of the times this problem occurred and it was blinking, so the game froze. But this pixel only appeared once. I deleted the save and made another one because every time I tried to create a building on top of it, the game would freeze.

I also wanted to say that in relation to the serving table bug. I found a “solution”. If I check the vertex buffer in experimental mode and then uncheck it, the visual bug of the tables disappears. However, if I close the game and open it again I have to repeat the process.

Yes, it’s related to the visual bug of the serving table. If I enable and then disable the vertex buffer, the visual bug disappears until I start the game again.

As for the bug where the interface disappears, it appears regardless. And I don’t know what causes it to happen. Simply everything on my screen disappears and I have to restart the game to fix it.

I sent the debug and dxdiag files attached.

That really sounds like a video driver issue - maybe it is not coping with openGL very well as that's an old standard, largely deprecated. But you seem to be on a pretty recent one ...

Please report the temperatures of your CPU and video (GPU)
1/ before starting the game up and
2/ after say 30 minutes' play.
If your PC's vendor has given you no way of reading temperatures, install
SPEEDFAN http://www.almico.com/sfdownload.php

If GPU or CPU never get up near or over 80c, then temperatures are not the problem here. Which is a shame as that's relatively easy to fix, normally!

Which doesn't leave us much else to look at here. What fps do you see in the game when this happens?

Do you have access to another computer to test this on?

The game runs with the FPS working normally. The only thing that happens in the game is that the interface disappears, but the game characters continue to perform their functions normally. The problem is that without an interface, I can’t play, I can’t build, I can’t give orders, and I can’t even see the pause menu when I press ESC.

I don’t have access to another computer.

The only thing that seems (maybe the same) to my problem that I found on the internet was this Reddit post from 2019.

What actual fps figues do you see please?

That post does sound like the same issue, I agree! But I don't recall any other such reports here, or in our ticket system - so whatever causes it must be very rare.

Make a new Windows user on tis machine and log into it with that. Go into Startup Apps and disable everything and reboot. Log in as that same new user again and try the game there - do you get the same problem?
