Setting Language to English

I bought the Hoi Anthology today (in Germany), installed Doomsday and Armageddon, and tried to set the language to english in settings.cfg, but when I start the game, most of the text is missing. The country descriptions, the Button Labels, most of them are gone. I think it was possible to set the Language from german to english in earlier versions without a problem, because I think I did so (can't remember though). Any Suggestions on why it isn't working or how I can solve the problem?

Apparantly not. It's the german retail version, so I don't think they're supposed to be there, although there had been no problems with changing the language via settings.cfg in the retail versions of HoI2 and DD...

Is there any possibility to obtain the files needed for the english language?
The translation is not bad overall, but with some things, it just plain sucks.

Install CDCP mod. It has corrected many spelling errors in German language sections. However not in scenario text. But in ingame messages and menues and such.

In the CDCP mod you will also get the config file versions with the full English language section.
