Several HRE questions.

Firstly I dont own the game but am playing the HTTT demo to get a feel. I really like the game but have a few questions regarding the HRE.

1) As Bohemia I had Austria remove me as an Elector. Is it possible to do this as the Emperor or was this just an event I got because I let relations get too low.

2) How do I add provinces to the HRE. Obviously conquering works but once as Austria I released the netherlands and noticed a province left the HRE. I also once vassalized Naples but they didn't join HRE.

3) Once as HRE I got imperial liberation on Poland. I one and had them release Prussia (which I later realized wasn't the actual goal) and notice that Prussia was a member state of the HRE but none of its provinces were in the HRE. This is less of a question but kinda puzzled me.

My biggest concern is that it says adding provinces to the HRE increase Imperial authority. But the only way I actually gain credit for this is by annexing from other countries.

Any advice for a prospective buyer?

While you're still with us, as I would like some HTTT features available in Ck2 anyway.

1. I think this is an event. Though it would be cool if it was a decision event. Need more of those methinks.
2. It is a provincial event for the province owner. It adds one percent Imperial Authority per province. Each 50 percent IA allows you to push through more centralizing reforms.
3. Prussia is a bit on the margins historically, but you can add any province to the HRE as long as it is adjacent to a preexisting HRE province, so conceivably all of Scandinavia, all the Balkans, and wrapping around to Tangiers if you are really ambitious and expansive. Heck, as long as you have a chain of HRE provinces, you could unite most of the Eastern Hemisphere but not Ireland, Britain, or Japan.

hmm well thanks. even if I did post in the wrong forum. But yes I've liked quite a few of the HttT features that seem to fit the CK scope. Like CBs rather than Ck's purely territorial wars.

The ability to insult as a diplomatic action rather than having a random event.

Though CK2 will surely be awesome.

Yes, you do.
You even do get authority from adding provinces you own yourself.

I remember there's a tooltip ingame which allows you to know what will
add / remove authority if you hover over the number.
