I've been involved in a multiplayer game with about 5 people and I'm getting horrendous lag. Non of the other users are suffering from this problem. if they are it is not to the extent that I am. Sometimes the host can't see what I'm writing, sometimes the stuff I say takes ten minutes to appear to other users. It takes at least 20 minutes for stuff to happen when I click an icon. The funny thing is, at the start of the game it's fine, I am able to do anything I want, but after a while it is practically inpossible to do anything at all.

I'd understand if I was sitting behind a rubbish computer with a rubbish connection speed, but I'm using a 1.8ghz with 256 megabytes of ram, and my connection speed is 1.1mbps. I can play high powered games like Rome total war and Joint operations: typhoon rising fine online but on a low powered game like Victoria it's impossible to play. How can I solve this?

I encountered a similiar problem, the diffference being I have a 2.4ghz P4, other than that my specs are the same. I too play RTW online with no lag, and Counter Strike:CZ perfectly. My lag, however is not to the extent to which you are describing. Only maybe 15 or 20secs per action to take place.

marco did you have that problem when you were playing w/ us in TOW? i dont remember you having that... but i wasn't over your shoulder :)

is there a large geographical distance between you and the others? what about another person serving? IP vs Vnet? possible that your 'connection' to that host sucks, because of some router in your way... i dunno really.

Vicky does send ALOT of information back and forth, more so than graphical games like you mentioned (I beleive so, but dont quote me on it)

I will reffer this to the experts in the MP forum.
