Georgia has a death wish. Portugal's defection was always likely. Wars have a habit of being long winded affairs just to get a few provinces. Bihar is consistent and you'll have many battles with them
What version are you running that has that limitation?

Ah, that makes sense then.I think it must be an early patch for Napoleon's Ambition. Kind of old, still. I didn't update because I wasn't sure if the savegame would transfer.
I seem to remember -- not sure -- that Georgia ceased to exist for a while in the past, so they should know not to tick off people who hold their future in their hands. Genoa too -- I was pretty surprised to find them around again.

Here’s where I get my revenge upon the feckless Portugal, who refused our war with us after having been graciously accepted into our Empire as an ally. What, did they think they wouldn’t have to fight side by side with us, because we were so powerful???

By late April, King Duarte has fallen in battle, and his brother Filipe VI now leads their armies.
5 Provinces lost to them, teaches them a lesson about watching what company they keep. Our impatience with Sweden – and let this be a lesson to Portugal! – is resolved in April 1739 with a peace treaty that leaves them with but the province of Stockholm!
A nice ending to the war with the Bihari.
And revenge you got right there....What price will Filipe VI have to pay for his brother's political madness? Will you be going after mostly New World holdings, or Iberian holdings?

every one is forcing you to paint the world with one color yours.
army composition looks better, results are better to.
keep up the great job.
What's your BB at?
Brilliant. Just brilliant. I remember reading through this back in 2010 and thinking it was long, but now re-reading all 206 pages the past week on my lunch breaks, I can really appreciate its length and depth. Thanks so much for the amazing AAR, and I look forward to the final years of Milan!
Glad that you liked my post.Welcome, PlatoonSgt! Thank you for that VERY kind, heartwarming post! That's amazing to have read through this in a week (during lunchbreaks even!). Glad you've enjoyed it for so long, and again now! And glad it's kept your interest. Thanks also for registering to make your first post, 3 years after you started reading this. That's an honor in itself! And the Milan flag as your avatar...
Are you really a platoon sergeant? Do you play EU 3 these days?
And I actually just loaded up EU3 with Divine Wind once again to play some more after finishing this AAR; it gets you in the mood.Looking forward to more!
Nice work with the inflation.
to bad Burgundy will not play
Sweden gone awwwww. to bad
Steady progress on that inflation. Somewhat perturbed that Wales should have so high inflation- too many troops, perhaps.
Burgundy clearly wants to become part of Milan. Their time will come.
Sweden joined in a war against Milan. You annexed Sweden -three times. Good riddance. If Northumberland comes up that you can annex it, Milan should get the province. You declare war on the Timurids and OPM Kashmir is alliance leader. Hmmm! Good by Georgia.
I think you are clearing the decks (pirate or otherwise) for a war with Persia. Clearing away the Ottomans first would be my choice.Portugal seems to have taken on GB's title of most irritating state. Too big to annex first time, and just comes back for more time after time.
Yep. Ex pirates in the Milanese navy is the way to go. An entirely piratical fleet serving Milan would be something, wouldn't it?
How about a map showing Milan's les than aesthetically pleasing borders, please.
I'm amazed that you've come this far (even though I haven't been following)! I can hardly even play EU3, but I'm hoping that eventually it won't be so overwhelming.
Amazing update! Looking forward to the inevitable clash with Burgundy, and nice to see Sweden taking on a nice relaxing shade of purple.
Glad that you liked my post. This thread is still my favorite of yours, and well worth registering for. And, yes, the Milan flag just felt appropriate. I am not a real platoon sergeant, unfortunately, but it comes from an old tabletop gaming nickname from the days of Axis and Allies. And I actually just loaded up EU3 with Divine Wind once again to play some more after finishing this AAR; it gets you in the mood.
Looking forward to more!
Yeah, it's done the same for me several times, I have a long standing game as Savoy that I fire up from time to time, and often after reading an update or two from Rens.
