When adding new models into HoI4, we are encountering an issue where the front is, no matter facing, cast in deep shadow. Does anyone know what could cause this? We are modelling in ZBrush and rigging/animating/preparing in Blender.
Thank you for your time.

If you're exporting models from blender only one light source can be placed on the scene it should be point light, when you change the light location you should select all objects and apply their position once again.

If you press ctrl + a, there will appear the transforms appliance toolbox. I'm not completely sure how this work in blender since the light object does not have transformations as mesh objects, however if all objects are selected the position of light seams to be saved when you're exporting the file. I haven't tested this thoroughly just gone into habit of doing so. it's working for sure since I've done this with many models it may not be needed but when I've haven't applied the transformations light position in the game was wrong.
The reason why the model is covered in deep shadow is that the light source is interpreted to be on the back of the character its something default for the pdx games or blender im not sure.

@MrAdrianPl

Our major remaining issue is the lighting. Can you explain more fully/simply how to correct the issue with shadows being cast over the front of the models?
apologies for making this difficult, its just we dont quite understand.

Thank you

Np ill explain it a bit simpler
-First of all, create a source of light for the scene. It needs to be point light since jorodox seams not being able to read other light sources
-Place light in front of the model
-After that select all mesh then press ctrl+a
-in the toolbox look is everything checked like that:
