Okay, so the difficulty isn't that bad overall, but on chapter 11 I just can't stand it anymore. I could take dying 10-15 times before getting to the next savepoint (which there's a great lack of in chapter 11) in the earlier chapters.

Even with the fairy, I can't even get half-way through the map. Beginning is easy, I just skip it, but eventually I have to face the dwarf casters and get nailed by oneshot rocks as soon as I start casting a spell. Which I obviously have to.

For those who wonders, I have yet to complete that chapter because of them. Me and my brother managed to get to Fafnir, but couldn't kill him and gave up. Only now, 4 months later, I figured I'd give it a shot after seeing how to defeat him, but can't even get there.

Seriously. Waste of money if I can't even complete the game.

For the record, I've died more times than I can count today (30+) and will most likely not play this game again untill I get a trainer or something to get me past the damned dwarfs. I also know when to quit before I get pissed off enough to destroy whatever I can get my hands on (usually keyboard, headset, screen and mouse).

Look at this as a whining about difficulty, looking for possible workaround thread.

Try this combo (the only one I will give!): DRE+right click, imbue your weapon with QRSEAR (shift+left click) and launch it through the middle of the cold wall right into your enemies. Of course, try not to kill yourself. That will take care of the axe wielding dwarves. I'll leave the wizard for you. :p

The best way to deal with dwarven priests is to kill them before they shoot. The spell piker suggested(commonly referred to as IWD) will do that. You can also use a simple shield if there aren't too many of them.

Dwarf priests? WED = charm ^_^ then they kill everyone else off for you.
Invisibility helps get you in position too.
(If you found all the books you should have those by the time you hit the dwarf priests).
There are a few ways of dealing with them.

Another really easy way to deal with the dwarf mages is to hit them with a Frost Cleaver untill they die (pretty quickly). But to do so, you will probably have to kill the dwarf warriors first. They don't take damages from the Frost Cleaver before having lost their shield (however, they're still frozen on hit).

If you want difficulty, just try the Stars are left... I agree when you say that the eleventh level is difficult, but that's nothing in comparison the extension ^^

Shield (AOE or normal cast, not self cast) while charging up your own rock. They break the shield and you break them. Repeat if your rock hits other enemies.

In any case, difficulty levels would be nice to have for some replay value, as well as for letting more newbie players get through the game.
