So as i play more i am seeing the good things this game has to offer.but i am still anoyed with some of the main aspects of the game.After about an 45 min battle with the french i was chaseing dow the last two ships that where sailing into the wind.I demasted both and was attempting to get close enough to board them and i heard a crashing cracking sound.I went back inot rts mode and see that my other 4 ships are being smashed against land and destroyed.abd there is no way i can manover out of it.either the current or wind is to strong and i cant get away from the land.or it was a glitch.i never saw the land when i started and the entire time i was in the fight i was chaseing them into the wind.Heading north about 1kn.well needless to say i lost my entire fleet and ended up having to go back to last save which was like 2 years back.Has anyone else had any problem like this.seemed like the wind/current was to strong for my ships and after enouhg time just sucked me into the rocks.

I do not believe land masses are displayed on the Mini-map.
I think the problem of trying to claw your way off a shore is somewhat do to the wave strength and frequency. They seem to be a little two strong.
