Ship Design Name Not Randomizing

When creating a new ship design in the ship editor it will always choose the same name for the design. The name of the first ship created.
If Corvette 'A' was the auto created ship and I go to create new, it will show a random new name from the list, but after clicking on 'create' the name automatically changes to 'A' from what it was so I need to rename every ship I create.
If I delete the original ship 'A' and create a ship 'B' that 'B' name will be the one that every ship name now defaults to. Not game breaking, but annoying.

This was repeated on multiple saves and new games with different empires.
Tried a delete and reinstall.
Playstation 5
I have all console DLC installed.

I'm running into the same thing. I need to manually name each new ship or it'll overwrite the previous one.

This turned out to be the much larger bug of unable to create new design in general being discussed on a different thread.

This turned out to be the much larger bug of unable to create new design in general being discussed on a different thread.

This can be subverted by only having one class for each ship type but you'll need to name it yourself. In the end still annoying but manageable.
