Ships won't move after opening saved game.

Hi,
Please help a newbie.. After trying the tutorials, I started a free roam campaign, and was getting along fine until I had to save the game. When opening up my saved game later, my ships were stationary, and I can't figure out how to move them. I'm sure this may have been mentioned in another thread, but I've not been able to find it.
I'm probably missing the obvious, but a little advice would be appreciated.

Have you checked that the game is not paused? You can use +/- on your keyboard to change the gamespeed and there's also +/- and the gamespeed value on the top-left in the user interface.

Ah.... never thought of that, and you were right, it was paused. Many thanks for your quick reply and help.
