Should the area lore works with the research points locations too?

I have 2 knights with 4 points in area lore upon 2 locations for research points but according to the chancellery I am getting only 11 research points from them (2 locations + 15% bonus from a building)?

Edit: Also isn't the skill and ability points stronghold buildings supposed to add those points to the newly recruited knights too?
(Yes, I read I can simply demolish the building and rebuild it as many times as I want and get unlimited skills and ability points for all the knights but I am not asking for the exploit)

Did you check separately under locations to see what you're earning from them? My research locations (Abbey, for instance) each grant me 5 pts, but they are listed separately from the pts earned by the knights' abilities.

Yup; all the sources of research points are listed separately at the chancelory screen - from the stronghold, from the heroes, from the locations and from artifacts

So, each knight should be earning 4 +15% (=5 rounded up fm 4.6) pts, then you should be getting separate pts for each location. How are you ending up with 11?

5+15%, not 4; 4 are from each level of a personal skill, not from location.

Sorry, thought you were talking about what the knights earned. Each location should be giving you 5+15%= 5.75 or 6 rounded up. But if the game calculates differently, say 5.75x2=11.5 and rounds down, then it would make sense.

It's sometimes very frustrating to try and figure out what's actually going on behind the scenes, especially with the manual lacking so much detail.

The problem is not in those 11 points; the problem is each knight have 4 levels area lore skill so every location should give 200% each of the output (whatever the output is).
