Some houses, notably the Targaryens and Velaryons, have this modifier attached to their rulers which gives them -3% revolt risk. However, house Celtigar of Claw Isle/Crab Isle, doesn't, at least in later start dates. This is strange, as they were loyal to Dragonstone even before the conquest. Heck, even wiki says that "House Celtigar is an ancient and proud house, with the blood of old Valyria in its veins." Is it caused by anything, e. g. modifier not being available to West Valyrian culture?

And since I'm already making a thread, could we get more Valyrian Steel weapon variants? I was thinking of some ones that would fit Crannogmen, Clawmen or propably the last High Valyrian house in Westeros - Velaryons. As for now, none of the swords really fit them.

agreed they were a minor Valyrian house sworn to the Targaryens. I would support the Celtigars getting some less culling of the Valyrian traits. As well as the Sunglass house.

Also more variety of Valyrian steel weapons would be cool. however we probably should come up with suggestions so the developers/modders dont have to keep thinking of things from scratch.

They might have Valyrian blood but to my knowledge they were not dragonlords.

Actually, according to wiki again:
Then again, the fact that someone's ancestors were from old Valyria has nothing to do with riding dragons.

you are correct, however it as been shown that if you have Valyrian blood you are more prone to being able to ride dragons. There has even been some with no dragon blood such as Nettles (says dragon seed but she showed no valyrian features) and the most famous Corlys Velaryon. There's not written proof that he had valyrian blood given we don't have a family tree that goes that far back.

not sure what them being Dragonlords has to do with what Moarice was saying initially.

Welp, bad grammar. What I meant was more like "Just because they didn't ride dragons doesn't mean they weren't Valyrian" rather than "Valyrian blood =/= Dragonriding.".

Well I would be in favour of them being High Valyrian, they can still have brown hair to distinguish them from the Velaryons and Targaryens.

Though no idea why one would do so.

They're too busy trying to update the mod.

If you speak it they will come... but you are right. That is the most important issue.

^^^^^^^^^

They do not get the modifier mechanically as they are west valyrian, may look at changing that but no promises really

Hey we of the masses are only here to sample your wares. and enjoy the fruits of your labors. if we can suggest something that might inspire you guys well... thats a win for us.

There is difference between ethnicity and culture. Someone can be Clawman or Kingslander ethnicity and still have HV culture, which could solve issue with houses Sunglass and Celtigar.

True! i have seen Velaryons, Celtigars, and Sunglass who look full kingslander but have the actual culture if high valyrian.

So is "west Valyrian" a watered down version of valyrian then?

And I have seen Northmen with brown skin. That's just the CK2 engine.

There have been "historical" members of the Targaryen dynasty with brown hair and other very non-Valyrian features, even at least one heir apparent (Baelor Breakspear). Looks are not everything.

um unless somehow the mother or father was a brindleman , dornish, or dothraki thats seems highly unlikely.

That's the entire point. If one of the parents or grandparents was X then there is a chance that the child may have the characteristics of X.

That doesn't make the children not of their culture.
