1) Siege tech level
In another thread has been appointed the importance of siege warfare in those times (and in fact we can savely say it was prevalent until Napoleonic wars), so I would like to discuss the posibility of a siege tech level independent from the normal war tech. My point is that some armies were very proficient at the battlefield but inoperant in siege operations. For instance, Almoravids and Almohads repeteadly defeated the armies of the christian kingdoms of Iberia. Thier armies were based on the use of large and disciplined infantry formations able to stand the charge of christian knights, and they displayed a good command and control system in battle. However they were unable to take any advantage of those victories as their rudimentary siege technic prevented them from taking any major christian city. Their large armies were a disadvantage in siege operations, which leads me to a second question

2) Attrition to the besieging army
It was very common for medieval besieging armies to starve earlier than the garrisons they were besieging. Supply in the countriside around the fortress was usually quickly exhausted, and the organization of supply convoys could be very costly or even simply over the administrative capacities of the besieging army. would be this somehow portrayed in the game?

Attrition in EU2 was also quite a lot higher for the besieger - after the option of assaulting(as if that wasn't done in the middle ages...) comes along, I seldom bother about besieging in EU2. There's always more infantry  . However, the most brutal besieger attrition could be avoided by efficient supplies being brought up-typically if the besieger controlled a nearby river or other easy transport route. I suspect siege technology will be integrated into military technology though I'm inclined to support it as a seperate category.

There is way to little besieger attrition in EU2 but it is just a game :)

Seriously sieges were broken lots of times, even if supplies could be brought up for the entire troop.
Usually because diseases would run rampant in the camp, also but possibly because of bad weather (winter), low funds, or the constitutent parts of the besiegeing force would have to go somewhere else to fight something else.
I'd almost like a time limit to sieges, if it wasn't for those rare sieges that would become more permament affairs. As is I still think that 'attrition' if it exists in CK should rise steadily for besieger as well as besieged, up to a rather high level.
