Simple question

Is it possible to edit a multiplayer savegame ?

(Our US player has seen twice the pro-peace event occur, once before the first savegame and just after we reloaded for the second session. Because it is his first game at all, we would like to set his interventionnism a little higher so he doesn't have to wait for ages before he can enter the war and really play)

If yes, how could we make this modification ?

it's possible and not hard at all, open the save in note pad or something and search for the USA section. You could for example do a search on rosevelt (the file is rather huge) in that section just look for where the sliders are listed and change interventionism to 6 for instance.
