I was playing Tuscany, and allied to Papal States, Naples and Mantua, and being the alliance leader. When I loaded a saved game to start playing that day, suddenly Ottoman Empire declared war simultaneously to Papal States and Naples. Mantua dishonored, but I had two open boxes one from Papal States and another from Naples. I said yes to Papal States and the Naples box dissappeared. I was at war against OE with Papal States, Naples was at war with OE alone.

The AI declaring war to several countries in the same alliance on the same day should not be allowed. It is a rare occurrence, but it totally changed my game.

So not so much a bug as undesired behaviour. Anyone have any input on this?

Well, if you can split an alliance by declaring simultaniously on several members, I'd say it changes the value of an alliance somewhat.
However, not sure if it should go down as a bug or as an addendum in the FAQ

Andrew,

Did you realise that he did not get the chance to help his alliance brother in Naples although that brother did call for help?

A clear bug in my opinion. But IMO it is not the bug Fodoron implies, I don't care much if the AI can DOW two nations the same day. But I do care for that windows are not prematurely closed by the program.

I take for granted the reason for the closing of the window was not that two months had gone since it appeared. A comment from hansmaa on this would be appreciated.

As you can see, it probably happened on the first day of the save-game.
