Any veterans from the last games find that the single player is a lot more exciting than before? I don't know what it is, but I find that the game stays fun in single player. I always enjoyed it, but usually I'd crave multi-player moreso. This is the first AOW where I feel like I don't need a human opponent to get the full experience. Talking about random maps of course. There's something special in this one. Mid and Lategame is absolutely nuts and I can't stop playing once it hits around turn 35 or so. Next thing I know I've lost like 6-8 hours on my day off.

I think a lot of it comes down to the diplomacy. It's very straightforward, but the AI is transparent about everything and not as apparently spastic. This is unlike most strategy and 4x games unfortunately where diplomacy is a major weak spots and the AIs are ciphers that will unpredictably lash out at you.
