Slavery just seems an infinite source of income where non-slavers are reduced to scraps and bits of income. Some courtier starts a plot and I ship her off to Pentos for 80 gold, more than most make in 6 years. Not to mention they can go for up to 450 gold, which is just jaw dropping.
I'm not saying it's unrealistic, but it seems a bit gamey having one slave cover the expenses for expanding my castle for two years.

Individual slaves (characters) are way too expensive.
 
The place seems too high (I would could them in half) but on other hand I think they're supposed to be a sort of abstraction. I mean, a slave raid nets you what, 5 slaves?
