This is my personal modded version of Stellaris. I have changed quite a lot. Still very much WIP.

- Completely changed naval capacity and ship upkeep. Naval cap begins at 50. Increased only through tech and pops. Ships cost more mineral upkeep. This keeps large empires from steamrolling everyone with their huge fleet while still being significantly stronger than small ones, unless you have low tech. If you lose your fleet, you have more minerals to rebuild. Have a large one? Pay the price. You cant just conquer a few planets early, spam spaceports and kill everyone in sight, rival empires stay a threat far longer. Also makes crisis fleets dangerous.

- Added huge 5000 stars Galaxy. Reduced habitable planets. You now have more space, but planets become really important. You cant count on having an optimal, large planet to colonize everywhere you want one.

- Slower pop growth. Makes having and keeping pops more important. You have to decide if you want to overproduce food or exploit resources now.

- Pops hinder research more. Large empires need to consolidate or lose in the tech race.

- Slower constructors. Conquered a lot of space? You will now need time to develop it before moving on to the next target.

- Rebalanced ground combat. Defensive armies are of some use now. Army traits begin to matter. Also, bombardment and ground battles take a lot longer, giving your enemy a chance to recover.

So far, i have not optimized this for compatibility with other mods. Works with smaller ship scale, at least.
