Okay, let's get soem facts straight:
Kerberos is the Producer. The Cooperation where the PROGRAMMERS ARE.
Paradox is the Publisher. The coorporation whose purpose is to sell the game.
Steam is the distribution Platform/Part time publisher. Propably a glorified P2P Client+Webbrowser (sorry steam programmers)
Keberos (the cooporation with the Programmers) wants bug reports go to the Kerberos Forum (the place with the Programmers, where they can propably download files from a server in the same Intranet) instead of the Paradox Forum (the Publisher).
Yes that is truly....sane, logical, understandable, acceptable, practical, obvious (and now I am out of verbs to describe that this is a good idea).
Wich makes your complaing about it...everything but one of the verbs I just attributed Kerberos with.
With the words of Mecron: "First world problems much?"
Where did I implied or infer that what you said wasn't the case? The issue is the programmer (Kerberos Production) don't have a speedy way of checking for bug/technical issue on THIS forums.
Again I can't and won't post on the kerberos production forum. How is this ambiguous and unclear? I am not whining about being unable to post there; only that my effort to find bugs and reporting might be wasted here and would be unproductive. Everyone want a better and bug free game right?
If it was true about posting the technical issue/bugs on the same forum system being "sane, logical, understandable, acceptable, practical, obvious" then why are Arcen Games (Programmer of AI war) NOT doing it? Lets see blizzard has a non-forum method (actually more than a few but the important key is not only locked to forum). Bethesda has a sub-website under forum account for dedicated bug reporting. Just because tech sub-forum is the most common method is not a necessary good thing for everyone. For instance, if you were banned from logging on world of warcraft. It might prevent you from using forum or in-game to report a technical issue but it won't stop you from going on the blizzard account page and continue to receive support for diablo 3 or starcraft 2.
What if you forget your forum password and want to log on to report something? Too bad you can't which is why I am advocating for a secondary way to report bug irregardless of the programmer preferences.
