Speed steps; Very slow, Slow, Below Normal, Normal, Fast, Very fast, Extremly Fast.
Try to play the game in the speed called "Very fast".

Not so much a test, but it does show he has not read atleast the one he should have read by now.

Memory usage

like many others im looking to speed up (only slightly more would maike game performance much better) the speed, my problem is my cpu usage at times can be hefty does anyone know a program or such that will switch of non essentials?

This seems to be a very common problem. What causes it?

That is the $64,000 question!

Some people with low end systems have no problem, others with high end ones have problems. It has to be some driver or CMOS settings or combination of hardware or both.
