Whenever I enter a system with aliens the advisor comes on saying “starbase under attack” and I look at where it is and it’s just a science ship running into mining drones for the first time 20 jumps away from my border. This has happened for mauraders, mining drones, space amoeba, and tiyanki
Edit: this bug does not occur when meeting enclaves for the first time

- Xbox series X
2. What version of the game are you using?
- Xbox says version 9.1.0, but it’s 3.9 for pc
3. What DLC do you have installed?
- All of em
4. When did this start happening?
- when you encounter an alien for the first time
5. Can you replicate it, if so, please explain how
- find an alien in the game you havnt seen before and enter the same system as them
6. Does this happen on all saves or just specific ones?
- it’s happened on two new saves
7. What steps have you taken to try and solve this yourself (reinstall, Google error code etc)?
- I havnt tried anything but it has happened on different days after quitting the game
