It kind of bugs me that there aren't more mechanics for Judaism and Sikhism. Norse has more mechanics, and they start out with zero provinces. Sikhism has a series of events, but it doesn't have its own mechanics or become as influential in Indian history as it historically was.
So here's my brainstorm for Sikhism: First, Sikhism gets a center of reformation, which converts Hindu and Muslim provinces. It has a shorter range than the Christian ones in Europe or the Muslim ones from Propagate Religion via Trade.
Sikhism considers both Hindusim and Islam to be heretics, despite being a Dharmic religion, and +1 tolerence of heretics. Sikhism also grants defensive bonuses when fighting on Sikh provinces, regardless of ownership. Sikhism has a "militarization of the Faith" meter. Militarization is acquired by events and by having war declared on you. Higher militarization gives a bonus to morale and increases the bonuses given to Khalsa regiments, but hurts Improve Relations with heretics and heathens. Khalsa regiments are mobilized from True Faith provinces by development, similarly to Manchu banners. Khalsa have better discipline, scaling with Militarization of Faith.

Judaism hasn't had enough direct political influence to have state religion mechanics, but it would be interesting to have province and/or state mechanics for areas which historically had large Jewish populations, such as Poland, Russia, and (initially) southern Spain. Perhaps even an estate? Also, maybe some mechanics representing the banking services of Court Jews, similar to the "Borrow Money from Jewish Merchants" in CK2?

Jainism is big in CK2, but is a much smaller religion today. I can't find numbers for how prominent Jainism was as of 1444, but it would be interesting to have a similar set of province and/or state mechanics for Jainism if there was still a substantial Jain population at that time.

Thoughts? Feedback?

I was sure I read somewhere this was said by a dev, but I can't find it so maybe I misread or misunderstood.

Jains will make up an estate for nations in the Indian sub-continent as part of Dharma I believe, so given said precedent I agree that Jews could possibly be represented as an estate in areas where they were significantly numerous. This could easily be applicable in places such as Italy (Venice in particular) and others in Europe like you said. Jews in other places such as Yemen, Palestine, even as far as Kaifeng in China could also do with more representation, and an estate or some kind of new state/province mechanic could serve well in this regard.

It's also good to hear that Sikhism will be getting unique mechanics, as the religion played (and continues to play) a major role in the history of the area. It would also be nice to see some kind of mechanic representing the different Gurus, as currently they are only represented by events as far as I know. Centres of Reformation would also be very good for representing its spread.

I'm no expert in either of these religions, but I agree that it would be great for the smaller religions in EUIV to get some more unique flavour.

Do you have any suggestions for
Zaratusztrianizm ?
I believe I saw a mod on Steam a while ago that gave Zoroastrianism some mechanics similar to Coptic. I have no idea how accurate that would be but it seems to be an interesting concept nonetheless.

Could have sworn I seen a dev reply saying it's getting worked on, but can't find where. It was weeks ago. It's quite possible I misread or misunderstood them though. I'll retract my comment.
I think you don't misremember, but there hasn't been a DevDiary about it, yet, so we don't really know what will change.

With the dev diaries as of late I sincerely doubt anything major will be announced. We’ve got artwork and MP teams tomorrow, then probably more ideas reworks, unit models, music, achievements and patch notes. Guessing the DLC will be out late next month. So sadly if there are any changes to Sikhism they will likely be minor and/or unnoticeable

Guys do you remember Estates mechanics? So a similar mechanism could be used for minority religions, something which could very well reflect the millet system of the Ottoman empire. So you would have, as Poland for example , on tge Religious minorities: Jews as an Estate, Orthodox as an estate, Muslims as an Estate (Lipka Tatars) ...

Zoroastrianism ( or Zaratusztrianizm), like Jainism and Judaism, arguably doesn't have enough national influence during the period of EU4 to merit national mechanics. However, it would be interesting to have province modifiers in areas where Zoroastrianism historically held out the longest, where under certain conditions the provinces could convert to Zoroastrianism. This would be in the Kerman and Khorsan areas in Iran, in Bukhara, and perhaps also in Gujarat.
If Zoroastrianism were to have its own mechanics, I would think they would be centered around dualism and the Zoroastrian belief that it's important to work towards a better world. So Zoroastrianism would have a bunch of events, where there is a "right" decision that will grant you a long-term modifier, and a "wrong" decision that will grant short-term gain of some kind. The modifiers might also compliment each other in some way. So like the religion screen has six or eight modifiers that can be active or inactive depending on your decisions, and if they're active they give you benefits. Just a thought. Maybe I'll elaborate on this more later.

They are getting their own government reforms. That's probably what you read.
