Not that I know of... Given the amount of changes we made to the tech tree and models it would imply quite some tinkering in any case. Obviously some events would be portable to CORE, but it would imply evaluation on a case-to-case basis. Plus you run the risk of using IDs and such which are used by the CORE team in a future version. So I'd suggest posting suggestions for improvement instead on the CORE forums, and have it changed in a future version of CORE itself. We are always looking for ideas and other input, and it would save you a lot of hassle.

Gotcha. I was playing around with some of the events from SMEP. You are correct that some are directly portable while others may need tinkering.

Two questions. Do most people post event stuff on the other forum or this one? I checked the other forum and it didn't look like there were as many posting as over here. Also, is there an event listing of the event ranges used by CORE?

Thanks

The terranova forum is the main forum we use... This is more of a sideshow. Right now it's somewhat quiet, but that's mainly due to the fact we've released two months back. The influx of questions from the release itself have died down somewhat (and we have no major issues apparently), and we're in the preliminary stages of the next main release, so that's the reason why.
As to event ranges: I don't think they're posted like that somewhere, but we do use fixed and specific ranges per country (with a split between gameplay and flavour). The best way probably is to select the file in question from the mod-CORE2\db\events subdirectory in question and check out the header - we do tend to list the ranges per country there. :)

If you want to submit something for CORE (which we encourage, but are rarely favored with lately) then just use your own ID ranges, whatever you find suitable, and we'll rename as necessary. This is because we want consistent ID naming (without large gaps) and you can't know if someone else is developing for those countries.

If you wish to see what event numbers are currently used, each CORE specific event file has a list of all the events and their IDs at the start of it, and there is a file in the install package called "CORE2_Event_Register" which summarises these lists, also.

But, as Baylox says, just write up the list using "fantasy" numbers (xxx01, xxx02, etc), and we will renumber things to fit in with our existing line up.

Hi,

One other thing to remember is that we just rest the Terranove Board this summer. So it only has 3+ months of posts there while the Paradox Board has several years on it. So we actually post a lot more there on a day to day basis.
