I can act as a backup host fo Sunday. I have a cable modem connection with decent speed. DAW I don't have ICQ where can I get it? Or can you reach me on the Ventrilo software if I log in before the game?
PS. The rumors about a SU invasion of Poland are totally false. We support our Polish cousins and will be standing right belind them should they be attacked

I tried to get with Sneaky around 7-7:30 last night via ICQ. I was unable to get his attention. He is going to email me the save game and I will be ready to host this for this Sunday's session.

Unfortunately, we were not able to accomplish too much, but the Axis got feisty. Germany made a DOW on Austria, and was able to annex her. Itlay assaulted the poor Yugo's from all sides. Poor Roumania, with her Centrist govt. was unable to share in spoils.
Soon after, Italy DOW's Greece, calling for an outraged Russia to demand to know why the allies did not support the Greeks!
We closed with a German DOW and invasion of the Czechs (still in progress)
I believe we are still in 1936. Allied war entry is way up!

Neither France or the USA declared war on Italy for their attacks on Yugoslavia or Greece? Is the battle for Greece still raging or has it ended?

It is early Spring in 1937
Italy has managed to conquer the pesky Greeks, although it apparently degenerated into a wild mud wrestling match due to the rain. Germany reorganized its economy and military for the third time due to its third leader, but still managed to subdue to Czechs in winter warfare. Rumor has it that the timing of the offense lead to the dismisall of the last leader.....
Russia, Germany, and the UK engaged in military bravado, and the UK took most of their fleets on test runs around the continent.
France and Japan were patiently doing little, at least not anything very high profile....

DAW, you want to stay as the German player? It would REALLY be nice to have some consistent play there...and I think Canada can handle a substitute player a little better.
Jxa, you out there? I think Rumania survived, but you are No. 1 on the list of 'to be promoted to the missing major power' spot.
Is this weekend a problem for anyone (the holiday and all)? If so, let me know.

TrainWreck, I've taken the liberty to invite a new member to the group. He is dependable and looking to get some more MP experience. His name is Fangnasher and will join us this Sunday. Hopefully we will have our regular 8 with only an occasional need for subs.

Europe remained largely quiet, with some posturing by the English Fleet.

TrainWreck, Yes you were missing some big action. Japan is fighting China and the Bear all by themselves. Our sub performed very well. I was privy to the voice channel that both the USSR and Japan players were on. It sounded to be an intense yet civil war as they congratulated each other on various maneuvers.

The UK did attempt to entice Germany into declaring war by bringing what appeared to be 2/3 of the Home Fleet into the Baltic. A quick DOW would have trapped those ships and made life easy for the Italians later down the road. However since Italy is not in the Axis, Germany chose to remain peaceful to our neighbors.
I noticed a comment by the French player last night. If the allies are under the impression that they cannot declare war when their WE is 100%, they are mistaken. France or the UK may declare war at anytime in that situation. Minors in an alliance may not declare war on a major. That is the only limitation currently in our houserules regarding DOW's. We will keep tweaking them as needed. The main focus is for everyone to enjoy themselves. Even if you're getting spanked, it is fun to try and cause your opponent problems.

This has been a limited war to say the least, with each side commiting only about 1/4 of their available divisions. For Japan's part, the balance of their forces are required to fight the Chinese and for the SU, well let's just say they are keeping the non aggression pact "binding". . .
