So, I downloaded the current SVN version and sent the repository to the CK2 mod folder. Now, how do I run the mod? I tried to move the Lux Invicta.mod file out of the repository file and into the mod file. But when I launch the game with Lux Invicta selected, it just launches the base game. I've never used SVN before so any help would be appreciated.

Which CK2 mod folder did you put the repository folder and the .mod file? It should be the one in the documents path. Did you either (re)name the repository folder to match the path in the .mod file, or edit the .mod file to match the path line to the repository folder name?

Note that the SVN version is patched to the 2.2.0.x betas, and won't work with the release 2.2 patch.

It's the mod file in the documents path yes. I realized I could open the .mod file with Notepad++ though (The icon showing is the one for VLC Media Player, I never thought of using a text editor). The path in the .mod file says mod/Lux Invicta. So if I rename lux-invicta-repository to just Lux Invicta it should work right? Also, are there any instructions written down anywhere? I couldn't find any.

As for the version. I am using the 2.2.0.6 beta patch so that shouldn't be a problem.

I'm actually gonna ditto the thread title. Been wanting to try this but legitimately cannot figure out how to install it. There's the mod, then there's...modules? And a dev version that's somewhere?

the "modules" are essentially our submods. just ignore them for now. the basic gist is that there is no official (stable and features-documented) release yet for post-CM, but you can access our dev build using the SVN if you want to. the instructions for the SVN installation are as noted in the FAQ's, just make sure the folder names are correct

Ah, gotcha! I might just wait until the official release is out then to try it, assuming that's going to be at all soon. I know a lot changed with CM.

If you just want to try a stable version, revert to patch 2.1.6 through the Steam betas, and install version 0.6k1 from the "unofficial" release thread.
