so I got 3025 extended to work with SLDF divisions...

And while I was at it added a full on SDLF Royal version Exterminator.. calling it the 4X cuz ya know, reasons.. izza evil wicked..took LRM away added SRM6 with A-IV, and a hatchet, null sig, MASC, XL engines slots.. Arm lasers switched out for Magna ++ mediums. added ECM, Beagle, and an energy +3 TTS. Not really a mech your going to refit, or want to! The 4A is reserved for comstar in my tables.. In my mod it takes the place of the Centurion find. Changed the text to reflect that its not doctor Marad that finds it but Yang poking around in the mech bay finding a sealed vault in the mechs structure, cracking it and having a hell of a No shit tale for you!.

I've also worked up a bunch of primitive tech mechs but they'll be somewhat limited for now visually. I'm not quite ready to discover how to Kitbash mech pieces together.. I made a few chassis back in the day for mechwarrior 2 Mercs and that was great fun and I will figure out how to do it here.

I'm trying to work up a way for you folks to run into Cranston Snord and his irregulars.. Maybe they'll make you an offer for the Argo. It's on the wish list but may be currently beyond my ability to pull off.

Anyway, evil old dude that I am, that's the teaser. I have deep knowledge of the game lore and have or can access nearly all of the printed game material and will be selectively incorporating it within this mod.

I'm still in process and I'm only able to devote maybe 4 hours a day on this so it'll be a couple weeks or more assuming nothing else goes badly wrong as I learn/puzzle out how to do this stuff. Now if only the outer world would just stay outer while I do this..

I can only assume the HBS team were finding themselves under some serious time constraints and still are because a whole lot more story lore and back round stuff that could have been in the base game. The Crescent Hawks were also banging about the area of space during this period along with Cranston Snord and the Irregulars, The Foxes Teeth, Avanti's Angels and a couple other known Merc units.. Surprised we haven't run into a Dragoon's mission checking on Brian Caches. Specifically the Black Widow. Come to think of it..How about the The Bounty Hunter which as of this time period is running about in a Dragoons/SDLF model Marauder that used to be Natasha Kerensky's ride (he left her his Warhammer if I recall correctly. It's quite the story really) There's several small hard luck merc units in the TT lore that are on long term contracts with worlds and powers we're playing around also.

I'll worry about a name for this conglomeration when I'm a lot more closer to done. And I do have to add the lore and story bits because hey.. almost anyone can put together a gathering of sub mods into one big mod. That's relatively easy. But all the better packages...3025 Extended, Roguetech, CCC, XAI, XLRP, have their own specific look and feel. So I've gotta to learn how to make flashpoints and missions to do what I want the right way and get them incorporated and playing nice.

TL "Sandman" Roff sends

P.S. I've yet to asking permissions of other mod makers to use their stuff. But don't you guys worry you WILL be recognized and accredited. It's ya'lls fault I'm even trying to do this. Darn kids. Always making work for me!

Started coding some missions up. Already have lore based story written. That was the easy part! Putting together the missions around the story... umm not so easy, and of course all of you want missions that fit the story and that make sense and aren't entire walk overs. You will face one off custom mech builds. I've got three monitors going with files open on all on all of them right now as I cut, past type, check my typing. Correct my typing.. re correct my typing.. rinse, repeat.... This is fun. The missions will be packaged as flashpoints, as priority missions and flashpoints seem to not be conflicting...this of course may change but I like the idea of having crafted encounter as often as possible.. You'll still be able to sandbox but the whole point of what I'm doing is giving you more mission chains to do while doing your thing for Lady Arano and the Restoration.

And yes.. "the Raid" along with "HandyCampaignStart" (for the whole run flashpoints at the same time thing) are the mods most responsible.

"Remember me Commander? Turns out you've acquired something your not supposed to have. Someone is very unhappy about this. Not everyone agrees with those someones however and I've been instructed to pass on to you a warning. Ah power politics. Keeps me busy! Your walking into an ambush on this mission and theres no avoiding it. A lot of high firepower third party intervention. If you survive, we'll talk again. Oh, on a side note, if you back out of your mission you'll be blacklisted by the MSRB. I don't see you realistly doing that so best of luck!"

Is my FP guide of any help? Any sections I could try to bang out next?

EDIT: Also it's generally a good idea to get your permissions for others work ASAP. We don't generally say no as long as you ask. The earlier modders know, the better they can help.

Ya know the worst part is.. It's turning into a long list of folks to ask!..On the "To Do" list BEFORE a download is available.. And yes, the guide is helping, and what could be better expressed/etc might be missing/overlooked etc.. I am THE WRONG person to ask as of yet, but I'll get there. At this point I'm just hoping my time estimates are generously correct.

Off to nail more jelly to the tree.. I cut my teeth on FORTRAN and COBOL in the 80's. It's not that difficult to learn. My only real issue is testing is a pain.

I've got a game going with all the mech bits that I've come up with modded in. They'll be some more bits yet. After all, several someones may come up with more mechs models over the next couple weeks or so. So I play between working on files and checking my work. I'll get the flashpoints triggered in the current game tomorrow, and I'll just keep playing while I work. I'm also going to have to watch for when FP's normally trigger post campaign because I suspect there may be an issue with them having already been triggered at that point. I've put together 17 mission outlines with force selections cast and dialog so far. I'm likely to double that and then some and at some point I will have to say "all right enough" and actually get everything tied together and done. You did some things in "The Raid" I really liked. I hope to do as well.

Right, its bloody well 4 am,, yea, time to go sleep!

The BT modding channels on Discord are the best place to catch up with all the various modders and get help in near real time.

First off congrats on the modding, once I figured out the json information it got easier for me. Second you sound like a Snord's Irregulars fan and is someone who could appreciate Sneede’s Rifleman or the Marik disaster of a Rifleman. :)

Fan of the entire franchise....
I am waiting for a cattlemaster mod... Those look like great fun. but yea Shorty Sneed, but lets not forget Marco's Shakes ride... or who Marco's really is! That a home brewed weapons mod you have going there? Is it on nexus? *flop flop flop flop*

Right get started on the second cuppa morning mud, spend some time in game and spend a shit wad of time time today brain deep in code..

Experimenting with a couple little item I'll have to test.. now that weighting on FP is an understood to me, I can set up my packages for testing..

Don't worry about not knowing how to code C# or whatever. I made the entire FP without writing any .dll mod files and never had to write a line of code. I did however use community made tools that other far more talented coders have build for us. You do need to get used to the JSON formatting, which is similar to picking up the syntax rules of a language but it's not like I need to worry if my variables are local, global or any of that other stuff.

I also was able to jam in some more stuff in to the FP guide, I think I hit nearly all of the "FP Specific" contract bits like how to remove them from procgen contract lists and how to setup min/max tonnages for a mission.

Yea, it’s my custom mods, I haven’t uploaded them yet, I keep editing and changing stats on things. I must have redesigned the Atlas II three times already, adding FF Armor, Fixed equipment and tabletop quirks. Since it’s all for my game some of them don’t have text in the “Details” field, just a “X” placeholder until I get around to adding text. And now I’m waiting for 1.5 to see what gets fixed before I start a new Campaign.
