It was a nice mod that I rather liked but I cannot remember the name of it for the life of me, and I can no longer find it on nexus.

I spend an hour digging today too just to make sure. No clue why the mods no longer there. I suspect it was a social issue..ie: some one didn't engage brain before opening mouth and the person who made the mod got bent about it and pulled his/her mod. I've seen it before in other mod communities.

The mod was simple.. If a mech died from a melee attack support weapons would not fire. Sort of thing that would aid you lighter or less heat efficient mechs from cooking themselves.

If one of you still happens to have this mod still send me a PM on the boards here with it attached pretty please.
I had a mod archive with it but a HD failed and hosed it (along with a whole lot of other files..(*sigh!*)

thanks for that....its one of those 'must haves' and nexus will get it to more folks im sure.
and thanks for making all these QoL mods....i use all of your stuff on github except for juggernaut
and if a mod pack im using doesnt have em they get added.
 
I'm afraid it didn't seem to work for me as part of BEX 1.8.1.
My punchy bots were still unloading their MGs and small lasers into downed, immobile carcasses...

I would love to get this working.

@Gurachn is there any repository of the actual code of BEX? There's only a vague description on nexus of possible included mods and i'd love to help but don't have the time to actually play with bex myself nor to decompile their stuff

One of the lead modders on that is DonZappo.
He has an account here & might respond to a PM from you.
I get the impression they are struggling a little with getting the mod compatible with 1.9.1 so might welcome assistance.

I tried again with the latest version.
My Firestarter had jumped in close and fired all weps, nearly overheating. The next round I had a clear run in on the wounded Stinger, and a +60Dmg melee mod was sure to kill, but the heat from the 6 small lasers firing in support would risk shutdown.

Lo and behold, your mod worked perfectly!
Not only didn't he fire and melt himself, but there was even a message stating 'Support weapons suppressed'.

Well done sir, and thanks for your great mod.
