so what have I been doing for 4hours

Playing doomsday 1.02
decided 1.03 must be bug free by now,so unzipped 1.03a.
When I try to install patch it says, doomsday not on computer.
It is!!!! A bought boxed version thats been on my computer since games release.
Please explain answer to problem

Game is on c drive in folder with four other paradox games.
when I CLICK run to install patch ( which is on c drive in a patches folder),it instantly tells me doomsday in not on my computer.

What version of the game do you have? What patch are you trying to install? (1.3a?)

If the game itself is installed correctly then I see no reason why you should have a problem with the patch. I've just tried to run the patch myself, and it looks like it will go through all right, even though I don't actually have Doomsday installed. All I can suggest is that you try to repair your Doomsday installation.

Failing that, PM me your email address and I will install the patch separately, compress it and send you it. You should of course see if you can do this yourself first, however.

Have been using 1.02 for months as I believe 1.03 had problems at first.
Have probably played 50 hours plus in last few weeks.Retirement,does have it compensations! So I don't think the game can be at fault.I have downloaded the patch 3 times over the last hour so I agree given past experience with Paradox that there should be no problem.I can't think how to repair an install that is working, hence my plea for advice with 1.03a patch

edit. just reread sticky-1.03a not for dd.will try 1.03 if I can find a brain .Thankyou for your time.

Are you sure you did not download the Hearts of Iron 2 1.3a patch instead of Doomsday 1.3a patch.
