Absolutely serious. First - We've tried asking nicely and working with them to provide information - I dont see any results from that. Second- what is absurd is suggesting people are too busy to provide a timely update. It takes 3 seconds to post something from anywhere in the world, including while taking a dump. Third - As a paying customer I absolutely expect and am due timely response regarding this product which I paid for but can not play because it crashes every turn. In leua of that Paradox can offer refunds, as they have for other games where their quality control was lacking. Finally - Last time I checked I dont not know the plans for the game's future, nor do I have an ETA regarding fixes for the crashing. As I already paid for my product I should not be asked to wait on their marketing schedule to get a patch or answers to whether fixes are in the works or not. So I have every right to be upset, more so due to the lack of response from both Paradox and Inco.

Being an empowered customer isnt absurd - mewing like a sheep until the next marketing cycle comes around is. <pat on the head> "Be a good customer and suck it up -we'll talk to you again when we have something new we want you to buy"

There is little point in being crude... but hey. Have you tried Paradox Support?

Yeah... that is pretty much the stereotypical entitlement complex. Listen, it would great if every company could pander their service to each person that paid them 10 dollars, and could give each one perfect customer care. But they can't. And just because you paid them some money doesn't give you the right to have your every desire fulfilled. It isn't like you dropped two thousand dollars on this game.

Yes, updates from the publisher would be nice, and make me feel better about further purchases from them. I think it would be a good idea for them to do it both ethically and fiscally. But we aren't entitled to them.

since when is a working product a privilege not a right? I paid for some thing (and paid more than 10 bucks though it shouldnt matter) that doesnt work. As yet I've received no apology for the problems and no feedback on the bug posts I've made or the requests for updates. How about they give me back my money until I can use the product again. Its not an entitlement to want what you paid for. Its common sense and common decency. They should have begged our forgiveness and committed sepuku out of embarrassment rather than stand around humming with their fingers in their ears pretending no one is complaining when there is a large crash thread on every forum relevant to the game (in English). The crashes are bad, the silence is insulting.

The point is, not everyone is having major crash problems. Especially not game stopping ones. Also, even if they are working on fixes, nothing about what you 'are due' is based on how communicative they are back to you. That just gives you a warm fuzzy feeling. A pat on the head to know you it will be alright.

Im of this opinion also. And I imagine that a fair few number of people are too. One persons idea of a working product is, lets just say different from other peoples. Id also ask if you'be had issues from day 1 of the original release, or if these are recent issues - with a DLC or a newer patches? And how many game hours you've played the game, compared to what it cost?

For me - sure there are a few bugs, but its still a "working product" and value for money.

However that said - it doesnt help you does it Fenryder? Im not sure what your PC specs are or if your PC is custom built, the one Im currently using is factory built and Ive had no problems other than some slow down in speed.

If you are still experiencing issues I really suggest you contact Paradox Support, so they can log it and then follow this up through their internal system with the developer. Its pretty clear that InCo do not communicate as much as say Paradox Development Studio with their fan-base. They also work to their own schedule so theres little point in demanding their attention.

Yet they have supported the product thus far and there is little reason to doubt they will continue... but within their own plans.

It will take you a few minutes to log the request on the zendesk, so I suggest you do that. Is a few minutes that much of an issue?

As much as I don't agree with Fenryder's tone, I do think he raises a valid point. For those of us who are having frequent crashes - and judging from what I've seen in forums, there's a fair number of us -, the game is pretty much unplayable. We're talking about people whose computers match at least the minimum specs for the game. It would be nice to have some assurance from the devs that they are actively trying to figure out what's going on and have an idea of an ETA for a patch.

Thats true. No fun owning the title if you cant play a through a game of it - but have any of you taken up the Developers request to contact them via skype, to assist in finding the problem?

For them to ask probably means they are having issues localizing the actual fault and it could be individual circumstances causing these. Something which will slow down the developers in getting a fix out.

Then again if so many people are having these problems I expect a few people at least got in touch.

They re very capable of explaining that for themselves. As is Paradox. So where are they? Unless you are putting on that hat 'Coats? Are we pretending Paradox isnt aware of this problem?

They are aware. Alexey replied to the crash thread in the support forum. But fixes aren't magic and if they rush them, they risk introducing new bugs which, of course, is worse.

I'm suffering from frecuent crashes like many others and, for the time being, I have stopped playing. It's just unplayable right now. I have supplied saves, diags and logs. I love the game and I wish I could play it, too. But I'm being patient and hoping they can figure it out and patch it correctly.

Lemme check.... nope, just playing devil's advocate! ;)

I absolutely promise you that the next time paradox and inco has something to -sell- us..they will show up and pimp their wares right here in this forum. How is their silence ok now? That behavior is bad for the game becuase gamers arnt sheep. On 12/12/12 people expect some sort of feedback on their concerns beyond marketing dribble.

Has anyone ever figured out how you can find someone at Paradox to help you! They never answer on the reporting a problem. There contact us bailsout to Yahoo (no, I am not going to create a Yahoo account). I love the games, but their customer service/ability to contact is horrific. Where is there a nice clean help desk?

Hi, its not immediately clear what problem you are raising - if it is to do with Victoria 2, your only registered game, then the best place is in Victoria 2 tech support forum. If it is for this game, then register that and you can post in this game's technical support sub-forum.

if it is more general, use the forum help function (you do not need registered games for that) or log a ticket at paradox.zendesk.com.

hope this helps you.

I do think far more can be added to this work of love, and I would be happy to pay
- to have a clerk coming at the end of a game to recap what did happen (final stat screen)

Etien

I´m waiting for this from 1st day of release on and wasn´t tired telling in most topics - without any result yet.
Don´t understand what´s so difficult to add a sensible ending/statistic screen with highscore list.
Every game of this type used to have it!
Its an important thing for me....
