First of all, are there people actually using VNet? I've never seen more than 2 at a time, and that's been rarely...bad timing with time zones, or are people just saying "hell with it"?

Game Question: Once setting up a scenario for MP with a number of players, say GC, can those not present in future sessions "jump in", or does EVERYONE have to be present at the same time for ALL sessions?

Just curious, as I'd like to get into a game with more than just a buddy of mine via internet host...this game looks like a blast if 6-8 players were available...

Happy New Year, BTW...

I think that if you load a save game where for example 1 out of 4 humans arent playing, the AI takes over that nation, but im not sure!

Yes, that is correct.. also countries selections can be switched around, etc. The save game just saves the conditions of every country.. no player related things.

But than again, there is the autosavefile-bug, and the other one (it pops up whenever one player leaves, or crashes out of the game, leaving the host an option to "save and quit" or "drop and play"), which practically prohibits you from re-entering into an MP game, if You manage to reload the game at all!!! We had huge difficulties with these, every time we had a crash!!!

Thus I recomend You to save as often as You can, and just take the name the game engine reckomends You in the first place. (it looks soomething like: e.g. Burgundy_June_1455). We saved like once everey 3 years, and after playing for 50 years I had quiet a few savefiles, but since the autosave.file does not work correctly in MP games, that was the only viable solution.

Does anyone have a better advise in this case????
