Loved CORE for HoI, but haven't tried one for HoI2 yet. So:

- When will be 0.4 ready? As I understood, it will be full compatible with ARM 1.2.
- Obviously, I'd like to use SKIF icons with CORE 2. How much does the mod change tech tree and units models? I mean, does it add a bit here or there or completely change things? Are there more or less the same types of troops (and models numbers) as in vanilla?

If all goes well the 0.4 Beta will start tomorrow. So the official release is still a couple of months away. The 0.4 release will be entirely based on Armageddon 1.2 (and thus won't work on DD), and will fully utilize the ARM naval attachments. The current version 0.3.2.3 is ARM compatible but designed for DD.

I 'do think we got rid of the last remnants of the Vanilla techs in the last release. So the tech tree is completely different... The same can be said for the models, as we have 6-batallion vs 9-batallion units, reserves instead of militia, and many, many brigades and brigade types. So the SKIF icons aren't usable 1:1. There has been some effort to modify the original set in order to match them with CORE though. Whether those are complete or a work in progress I can't say. Many SKIF icons will be (re)usable, but won't cover all models.

Oh, and I do love the quality of your work - SKIF is a true art form! :)

Thanx :) Once I put my dirty hands on 0.4 I'll try to make SKIF work with it.

@ Kristoff - that would great! I love the SKIFF icons and use them for every mod except this one. :D

I do think not having a matching SKIF icon set is one of the major complaints we get... So that would be perfect! I can even include them in the regular installer as an extra installation option. :)

Hear, hear!

There're many people including myself, who found nato icons and sprites ugly and always play with SKIF icons, even when they don't exactly fit to all units. Including them in an installer is a great idea!
