First question; what do this codes mean?

whiteman = 0
colonialnation = yes
major = yes
bank = no
stock = no

Whiteman
The whiteman value defines the amount of exposure American countries have had to Europeans and their way of life. The value can be seen as a percentage of "assimilation" to European ideas and culture. A native American country - like the Shawnee - are advancing slower techologically, have no horses and so forth before they are exposed to the white man.
(from Havard's Eu2 Editing Bible)

Code:
whiteman   tech cost modifier
 0          10
 1           8
 2           6
 3           4
 4           2
 5 or more   0
(from Eu2 Wiki)

Major
This is old feature that is no longer in EU2. It was supposed to define which countries would be major players (using gold shield) and which would be minor players (using silver shield). Major countries were impossible to annex.
In actual Eu2 it has maybe only an effect whether the country would be listed in graphs in the Ledger, but I am not sure in that.

Colonialnation
Here I am not sure whether this is used or not in game.

Bank, stock
These seems to be unused definitions. If this settings have some effect in game, it's hidden.
